CUPPING
Detoxify, Increase Blood Flow
Unwind, regenerate, and help your body heal itself with a therapeutic cupping session. Cupping is an ancient practice many cultures used to help release tension and assist with circulation needed for healing. The therapist places suction cups on your body's tense areas while you relax on an Amethyst BioMat that also assists with relaxation and circulation. For a deeper experience, sound healing bowls and Reiki may also be added during your treatment if you desire, which provides balance to your energetic body by using frequency, energy, and vibration.

What is Cupping?

Cupping is a therapy used in many ancient cultures to remove stagnation and stimulate the flow of qi (chi). Qi is the free flow of vital energy circulating through the body and the world around us, if the qi is disrupted or disturbed, it can create stagnation (blockages) or imbalances in the body.

At Center Me, we use plastic cups that create a vacuum, pulling the skin tissue into the cup. Cupping assists with blood flow, loosening the fascia or connective tissue, and may help stimulate healing. The technique is similar to how a deep tissue massage breaks up scar tissue and reduces pain. The cups are often placed on the back, neck, and shoulders or the site of pain. Cupping may cause temporary marks on the skin, depending upon the degree of suction created by the vacuum and the level of internal stagnation. According to practitioners, this would be a favorable outcome, suggesting the treatment has successfully removed toxins and stagnation
